We are always delighted to hear from anyone who is interested in singing with us, or in just finding out more about the Society. If you have ever thought about devoting one evening a week to making music as part of a big choir, RTWCS could be just the thing for you. If you would like more information about joining the choir, however temporarily, or if you have any other query, please contact our General Secretary (Trevor Hurrell) or our Membership Secretary (Jane Walters), or complete an application form. We do not normally audition prospective members.

We normally rehearse in St John’s Church Hall, Tunbridge Wells, each Monday in school term times between 19.30 and 21.30; the rehearsal schedule lists dates for all rehearsals as well as homework for the next week. There are usually four concerts each year – a Spring concert, an Autumn concert, an informal Christmas concert in December, and a lighter Summer concert in June or July.

The 2017/18 annual subscription has been held at £135, payable in full in September or in two instalments of £70 each, payable in September and January. A reduced rate of £25 is charged for members under the age of 25 and, at the discretion of the treasurer, for members who otherwise could not afford to take part.

For works that require a large number of singers, we sometimes invite members of other local choirs to join us on a temporary basis. In such circumstances, an appropriate membership fee will be negotiated with the treasurer.  If you wish to join us on a temporary basis please contact our registrar or fill in the membership application form, noting (in the “other information” field) that you wish to join only for a specific concert, and quoting the choir of which you are already a member.
