RTWCS is a long established but very friendly choir made up of about 120 singers, both male and female drawn from Kent and East Sussex. We sing a whole range of Choral and Operatic pieces and usually arrange two major concerts a year – one each in the Spring and the Autumn, a Christmas concert in December, and a "Summer Sing" concert in June or July. The summer concert is a less formal and generally less challenging programme and represents an ideal opportunity for younger or less experienced singers to join us.

Major concerts are usually staged in the Tunbridge Wells Assembly Hall Theatre, while other concerts are in local churches. The choir also has its own orchestra.

Details of forthcoming concerts can be found on the Concerts page, while reviews of past performances and programmes can be viewed via our Reviews page.

Rehearsals are normally held in St John's Hall, Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN4 9LG every Monday, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm in season. They are conducted by our Director of Music and aided by our very able accompanist, Anthony Zerpa-Falcon, both of whom are appointed by the committee and employed on a the basis of a professional contract. There are normally about 12 rehearsals for each concert, and plenty of opportunity to learn notes! If you are interested in joining, please refer to our membership pages.

In December we have an Annual Dinner and at the end of each season, the choir usually holds an informal party.

The organisation and managment of the choir (which is a charity) is enshrined in our Constitution. Concerts are expensive to stage and financial and other support is vital for the society. Please refer to our support section to find out how you can help the choir.
